orizon is an archaic spelling of horizon... textures were inspired by old plaster, rust and clinker, and it echoes a bleak winter landscape.. one of a series on themes of natural decay ... you can see a close-up detail of it here... [link]

*I have decided to submit this painting to 4bstr4ct4rt's March challenge : an abstract work that represents Winter or Spring. I think this one fulfils the entry criteria...

Daily DeviationArtists every day draw their inspiration, not only from their emotions, but also from events as well as things around them. Some get inspired by shapes, some by colours, however in a case of orizon: painting by ~Pixie-Pixel the inspiration came from amazing textures in the world around us, a world that changes, disappears and gets recreated. stunning...abstractions don't get a whole lot of love on this site (trust me, i know). this is an arresting image and a piece that most private collectors would love to have adorning their walls.

What really caught me was the texture. It does seem like some sort of horizon.
